WORKSHOP POLICIES

Please read through these policies before registering for a workshop

1) Age limitations

Unless otherwise indicated, workshops at Candelaria are designed for ages 12 and older. Because our candle workshops are BYOB, involve hot wax, and are intended for adults, we aim to create an adult friendly atmosphere. Please contact hello@candelariacandles.com with any questions or exceptions for private or large parties. Children under of the age of 16 will require adult supervision but are NOT required to pay for or participate in class.

2) Punctuality

We get it, things happen and you run late from time to time. Especially in our neighborhood where parking is tricky! Although we won’t give you a tardy slip for being late to class, please be aware that classes start promptly as we have multiple classes throughout the day. Please arrive promptly to get settled, pop those corks, and mingle with your new friends so we can start on time.

If you are going to be late*, please email the store at hello@candelariacandles.com , message us on Facebook or Instagram ahead of time and let us know, otherwise we may begin the class without you and we don’t want to do that! This policy is in place mainly out of respect for the other class participants, and is also due to our shop staffing.

*If you or any members of your group are going to be over 15 minutes late, we ask that you reschedule for a later date. We are happy to help you do this, but please notify us before the class begins via email to hello@candelariacandles.com or message us on Facebook or Instagram.

3) Cancellation & Refund Policy

You can cancel your class at any time up to 1 hr prior to your class time and we will refund your class payment in full. If you have put a card on file but not paid, you will not be charged. If you have paid for class and do not show up for your reserved workshop (no-show) your card will be charged and we can offer a refund of 50% of your payment.

4) Changing Class Dates

In the event that something comes up and you need to change your workshop registration, we are happy to work with you to find a more suitable workshop time. You can do so by logging into your reservation confirmation email and rescheduling your date and/or time. Please contact Candelaria directly via email to hello@candelariacandles.com. If you are unable to reschedule your appointment we will be happy to assist you in this process.

5) Sharing a Candle Tray

We ask that each person who attends a workshop has a reservation. We realize that some people may want to tag along simply to watch, however our workshop space can only accommodate a limited number of people. *This does not apply to children under the age of 16 who require an adult supervisor.

6) Bringing Additional Participants to Class

Mistakes can be made, we get it. We will accommodate you in any way we can. However, our candlemaking classes are capped at 12 participants and NO exceptions will be made for additional participants. If you signed up for a class for 1 person and brought a friend along without a reservation, we will be UNABLE to accommodate a 13th person. Additionally, walk-ins (those without a reservation) will incur an additional $10 charge per participant.

Please ensure that your reservation is confirmed for EACH participant in your party.

5) Candle Pick-Up

The candles you make in your workshop will need to cool and cure overnight at Candelaria, and are ready to be picked up the regular business day following your workshop. Candelaria will babysit your candles for up to 3 months/90 days following your candle workshop. We will also ship candles wherever you need for a flat rate of $7. Please make the necessary arrangements for pickup or shipment with Candelaria.

Workshops are typically 1.5-2 hours

There are usually ~12 people in each candlemaking workshop; 6 people in our dirty pour class

All workshop goers receive 15% off in store purchases on the day of their scheduled class with no exclusions.
